Since our founding in 1975, MWFS has believed that business success and community strength go hand in hand. We’re committed to being more than a financial services firm: we strive to be a responsible neighbour, an active contributor and a partner in positive change.

Our Approach to Giving

We focus our community efforts on two principal goals:

  • Supporting youth, families and individuals facing challenges – through financial assistance, access to special-needs services and programs that empower people to thrive.
  • Strengthening our local region – by contributing to non-profit organizations that deliver essential services across the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland.

Our contributions are consistent: every year we commit both time and funds to organisations whose work aligns with our purpose.

Recent and Ongoing Partnerships

We contribute annually to the Surrey Food Bank to support families in Surrey and North Delta who face food insecurity.

Through our donation to Special Olympics BC, we support youth with intellectual disabilities in sporting, health and leadership programs throughout the province.

We are honoured to participate in the Sunshine Coach #625 program with Variety – the Children’s Charity of BC. This specially-equipped coach provides children served by Inclusion Chilliwack with safe, accessible transportation to life-enriching activities and unforgettable experiences.

“The Sunshine Coach opens doors for kids when standard transport just won’t work.”
This initiative underscores our belief in inclusive opportunity for all children.

On Giving Tuesday December 3, 2024, we supported the Canadian Red Cross, making three times the impact for individuals and families in crisis.

Why it Matters

At MWFS, our community involvement isn’t just about writing cheques; it’s about building stronger, more inclusive communities where every individual has a chance. Whether it’s ensuring children with special needs can attend camp, helping families with food security, or supporting adaptive sports, our aim is persistent impact—locally, consistently.
